By now, obviously, we all know the outcome of the 2008 Presidential election. And, as anyone probably could've figured, our new President-Elect is Barack Obama.
Now please, remember that I seek to offend nobody here, and while I am a Republican by choice, this isn't about party politics and how I may or may not feel about our future president.
In fact, this isn't hardly about politics at all. Just like this election was hardly about politics.
Now, on to the whole point of this rant.
I am absolutely disgusted by the words, "I made history!"
Absolutely DISGUSTED. I don't give a damn what your political affiliation is, those words are pathetic. If you voted for Obama because you truly believe in him, and what he can do for this country, then this isn't for you. I'm not aiming this rant at people who actually have faith in the person they voted for.
It's the other people. Those who voted for Obama just because he's an African-American. Just because he's black. Now, I understand that usually it's two old, white guys duking it out for president, and all of a sudden, now there's a black guy besides Sharpton. That doesn't mean you should completely forget about what you're voting for and be like "I want him so I can say 'I helped elect the first black president!'"
That is so absolutely infuriating.
If you're a democrat because you believe in the democratic party, good for you.
If you're a republican because you believe in the G.O.P., good for you.
If you voted Democratic this election because you believed in them, congratulations.
If you voted Republican this election because you believed in them, better luck in 2012.
If you voted Democrat just to say you helped elect a black man, and you have no idea why else you did it, then you're an idiot. Just because he's black doesn't mean he can get the job done. Hell, there's no guarantee that anyone can get the job done. They try their best. But you, voting with absolutely nothing else on your mind but, "Oh, he's black, I'll vote for him.", please, go fall off the nearest cliff and save the world from your stupidity.
You only made history here, in the U.S. No one else really cares about our politics.
Nelson Mandela was the first black president in the mainly white society of South Africa.
Martin Luther King, Jr. should have been the first black president here in the States, and it's singlehandedly one of the biggest tragedies that he was assassinated before he could witness his dream of civil rights come true.
As a side note, I don't believe Obama should've been allowed to run.
No, I'm not racist, and no, it's not just because I'm a republican.
Blatantly refusing to furnish a birth certificate and pulling some lame excuse out of your ass, no, he should've been forced to step down right then.
BE PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN. If you weren't born here and you know it, then maybe you should try to push a bill to amend the constitution SENATOR. Make it so that you can be a naturalized citizen as well. I'm not upset because he won. Just that he refused to provide his birth certificate.
In the future, please research your candidate. Don't vote for him just because he's a minority. Please.

I fully agree. This post is certainly ten times better than the last. If I never heard those words again for the rest of my life it would be too soon. Your style of writing reminds me slightly of the angry comedian, Black? I am not too sure of his name because I'm not a huge fan, but he is funny if the subject is right for him. If you find something that is right for your style it highlights the characteristics and makes it a more fascinating experience. I'm growing to like your rants. Thank you for sharing a talent that very few share.
A shared republican choosing,
